the alveoli
The oxygen in the lungs goes in to alveoli, which have a large surface area so that the oxygen can diffuse (spread out into) the capillaries surrounding the lungs.

From what I recall from high school anatomy, yes. There are little sac-like structures in the lungs called alveoli that are the actual "absorbers". Hope that helps

All the conducting tubes of your lungs will be oxygenated to some degree. The place where the oxygen actually enters the bloodstream is in the tiny end sacs called alveoli.
