There is also a condition referred to as Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding which means spotting or bleeding before or after your periods. Do a pregnancy test first. Then see your doctor hun.

If you have not been tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia, talk to your health care provider about whether you should be tested. i was pregnant like 100 times and i loved it! anyway, yes! congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! The same thing happened to me. I spotted lightly for the entire three months of my first depo shot. Fortunately after my next shot, the spotting stopped. My sister had the same experience. Your doctor should have explained that you may have irregular spotting/bleeding during the first 3-6 months on the shot. The brown spotting is normal and should go away soon. :)

If its a mirena, it is pretty common to have spotting. I spotted for 6 months straight and finally had it taken out because I could not deal with the constant spotting.
I am spotting on the last active pill of Yaz that i have been on for fourth months should I be concerned?
I have similar spotting and definitely am NOT pregnant. I have been researching online and spotting with Yaz seems to be a normal thing, especially in the first year (i've been on it since December 07). I have no pain or other symptoms, so I think I'll let my body work this out since I just had my annual in Nov and no issues occurred. Obviously, if you are concerned, call your doc!!!
