My grandmother got H1N3 and ended up in the hospital the day after first showing signs of flu. The second day it escalated to double pneumonia and she was put on a ventilator in the ICU. She was in a drug induced coma for a few days then they weened her off. If she hadn't had her flu vaccine (the vaccine doesn't currently fight against H1N3 but still gives you some generic antibodies that help fight it) the infectious disease doctor said that she wouldn't have made it. It is now a week later and she is expected to get out of the hospital today or tomorrow. New version of H1N1...my friend has it :S she got the chills at started coughing up junk and got a fever
