When you shave the hair tends to be coarse and thick and does not get to the root of the hair which causes the hair to grow back faster and in most cases, the hair will start to grow back the next day. which results in becoming prone to ingrown hairs and a lot more irritation and itchiness in the area you are shaving.

When you wax after the first wax, hair grows back differently compared to shaving the hair is lighter and thinner in appearance and feel.

In some cases, you tend to grow back less hair and the results last for up to 3-4 weeks. The area you wax will leave you with a smooth and clean feel and touch.

If you are a wax virgin (first time) it will hurt a little as you are pulling the hair out of the root opposed to shaving a layer of hair follicles. Hence why shaving does not hurt. The first wax may not be super clean, this is due to previous years of shaving. May take 2 -3 waxes consistently to see full results. The area might feel sore and tender (which is normal) and sometimes spotting may occur, this is just because of the hair being removed. Overall, waxing is easier, quicker and more approved for hygiene purpose. :)

it depends on what works for you... with waxing there is mild discomfort though with shaving irritation is also possible... the pros to waxing is that your hair doesn't grow back for a really long time (about 3-4 weeks) though with shaving it only takes a few days for hair to grow back...waxing is probably the best solution, but make sure you are going to someone who is certified to do this and knows what they are doing...hope this helps!

Hi there it depends really i shave and i get little cut on my legs which is horrible but its because my skin is sensitive. However waxing i;ve never tried but want to at it last longer than shaving. Try both and see

answer: i actually think waxing is better. if you want to know, ask an adult or go to a spa and ask what they would recomend. i honestly think it is better to wax, because it gets prickly and you can tell you did something. but when you wax,its smooth, and looks so much better!

Shaving removes hair only from the uppermost layer of the skin. This causes hair to grow faster. Waxing removes hair from the root. Not all hair will be removed in one go.In the long run hair growth will also reduce. Some people are allergic to waxing. I prefer shaving because waxing is extremely painful, but waxing does work much better. It is really smooth and the hair takes longer to grow back. I suggest plucking out one of your hairs and see if you can take the pain. If so, then go for it.

i agree with the person that wrote this. it is really painful ,but in the end worth it! you might want to pluck it really fast ,because otherwise it might be more painful then it actually will be when you wax it. but soon after shaving your armpits get darker and the roots of the hair stand out from the rest of the body ,then it automatically looks like you have hairy underarms! not a good choice if you have dark or more course hair.

Whether or not you shave your pubic hair is a personal choice, but it's best not to shave.

Pubic hair is there for a reason, it helps to protect the genitals from irritation and infection, it can also protect against STD's. Shaving however not only takes away this defense but damages skin, it can not only lead to irritation but also ingrown hairs and cysts which can become infected.

It is better to wax facial hair than shave. Shaving can cause redness, hair bumps and there is a risk that you may cut yourself while shaving.

It depends on the person but there are a lot more benefits from waxing instead of shaving.

Up to you, but I had electrolysis on my brows and now I don't have to mess with waxing anymore.
