Good question. Your doctor probably should have explained this one a little more. From the question, it just sounds as though you are going to have an ovarian cyst removed, yes? If that is the case, they are not going to remove the ovary the cyst is attached to. Just the cyst. No worries, every woman gets every type of cyst EVER. They usually tend to go away on their own, but if they are too big or you have endometriosis, they would prefer removal. (There is no way to tell if you have endometriosis unless you have had a removal surgery before).
