β 13y agoThe heart pumps around the body to supply it with oxygen and nutrients as well as to remove waste products such as carbon dioxide and urea.
The heart pumps the blood around the body under pressure- this is measured at 2 points. The pressure when the heart is contracting- the systolic pressure and the pressure when it is resting- the diastolic pressure. Too high blood pressure can cause health problems such as a stroke (cerebral haemorrhage) or heart attack (cardiac arrest).

The patient had uncontrolled hypertension, which meant his blood flowed at a high pressure, and almost had a heart attack.

I think you meant auscultatory *gap*. Anyway it is a range of pressure where the korotcoff sounds fade away and reappear at a lower pressure when someone is listening to a patient's blood pressure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auscultatory_gap
The blood pressure when the heart is contracting. It is specifically the maximum arterial pressure during contraction of the left ventricle of the heart. The time at which ventricular contraction occurs is called systole. In a blood pressure reading, the systolic pressure is typically the first number recorded. For example, with a blood pressure of 120/80 ("120 over 80"), the systolic pressure is 120. By "120" is meant 120 mm Hg (millimeters of mercury).

Shearing forces in pressure damage refer to the internal tissue damage caused by two surfaces moving in opposite directions, stretching and tearing tissue in between. Shearing forces can lead to deformation and disruption of blood vessels, resulting in reduced blood flow and tissue damage. It is a common mechanism of injury in pressure ulcers.
Is this Blood Pressure or Blood Glucose (Sugar)? If you meant blood glucose the normal levels range between 4.0 and 8.0. A little higher or lower is fine but anything above 10 means you are at risk of Diabetes

I think Blood immunology basically means blood immunology
