The pulse rate is a measuring of your heartbeat and is counted every time it beats.

If I had a pulse rate of 56 beats per minute it would be written like this; 56bpm.

You can find your pulse rate on your temple (your right side down of your head) your wrist (felt better on the right hand) and your right hand side of your neck.

A pulse is a rhythm. It is usually associated with a beating or throbbing sound, but can also be pulses of light.

Biologically speaking, a pulse is the rhythmic throbbing of the arteries resulting from blood travelling through them.

Every time the heart contracts it pumps out blood... that rush of blood causes the artery to bulge, that is called a 'pulse.' Each pulse is equal to one heartbeat... so the pulse tells us how fast or slow our heart is beating.
