If the large intestine does not remove water, you'll have loose stools or diarrhea.
The vast majority of the water that enters the large intestine is absorbed by the lining of the intestine into the circulation. Approximately 2 litres of water enters the large intestine every day. 90-95% of it is absorbed.

In the large intestine, also known as the colon, water is absorbed from the remaining indigestible food material. Bacteria present in the colon help break down remaining nutrients and produce certain vitamins. The waste material is then formed into feces and stored until it is ready to be eliminated from the body.

When the large intestine doesn't absorb water properly, it can result in diarrhea due to excess water remaining in the stool. This condition is known as malabsorption and can be caused by various factors such as infections, medications, or digestive disorders. Treatment involves addressing the underlying cause and may include dietary changes, medications, or fluid replacement therapy.
In short: sugars and fluids are poorly absorbed.
Almost all of it get reabsorbed.
