An Opthalmoscope is an instrument used by Opticians to look into the eye. A light is shined into the eye, while the optician looks through the eye-piece of the instrument allowing him/her to view the eye's retina. By doing this he can check the health of the eye, looking out for signs of eye conditions such as: Glaucoma, Tumors or detached retinas.
