Hi Louise Yes, it's quite normal. Stress alone can do this (even give you tingles in the extremeties of your body) and also a pinched nerve in the neck area can cause this. Try this little test: Right above your shoulders (on each side of the neck) press down and hold. If the tingling in your scalp doesn't go away then move your fingers up behind your neck and press forward. It should go away. If this is the case see your Chiropractor and you should get back to "no tingles" fairly quickly. I am sure you have had your hair washed and scalp massaged along with it by your hairdresser. Feels great! It's amazing how tight your scalp can be from every day stress and you don't realize it until your hairdresser uses those magic fingers of hers. Marcy
