Understanding what causes body odor is necessary to get rid of it. Body odor is caused by the chemical reaction of the bacteria in the armpits with sweat. So slathering on deodorant isn't going to work. Deodorant is basically perfume and attempts to disguise the smell. Then you have body odor with cologne on top. You have to stop the sweat to stop the smell. Use antiperspirant instead. Drug stores now sell clear, scentless, non-waxy, medical strength antiperspirants over the counter. Certain Dri is one brand.
Body odour can be removed by washing with soap, shower gel, body wash or bubble bath products.
Anti perspirants, deodorants, talcum powder will help to reduce body odour but need to be washed off daily to prevent the skin pores becoming blocked.
The essential way to eliminate or prevent body odor is to scrub yourself and in particular where your sweat glands are under your armpits. In simple terms people who do noy wash and have baths or showers daily will stink. Although fresh sweat does not smell when it mixes with bacteria on yout body and the bacteria decays that is when it is likely to cause an unpleasant smell to people in close proximity to you buf you fail to have baths or showers and therefore do not scrub the bacteria off you are likely to smell and that is termed body odor.
Regarding your sweat In humans, sweating is primarily a means of thermoregulation, although it has been proposed that components of male sweat can act as pheromonal cues. Evaporation of sweat from the skin surface has a cooling effect due to the latent heat of evaporation of water. Hence, in hot weather, or when the individual's muscles heat up due to exertion, more sweat is produced. Sweating is increased by nervousness and nausea and decreased by cold. Animals with few sweat glands, such as dogs, accomplish similar temperature regulation results by panting, which evaporates water from the moist lining of the oral cavity and pharynx. Primates and horses have armpits that sweat similarly to those of humans.
Fist of all, don't just shower in the evening, or in the morning. Many people think that is enough, but it isn't. You do get dirty in the night, and do remember that's a good 12 hours of no wash. I advise wash in the morning and evening, with good, clean smelling soap, that wont run out within the first two goes. Try to find as much information about a certain deodorant as possible, and see if it the right one for you. I personally find sticks of deodorant more effective, but everyone is different!
