How long have they been there. Do you live or have you visited a wooded area. Could you have been exposed to a poison oak or Ive. . It is most likely an allergic reaction to something. If the allergen is not on you anymore it rash should dissapate and be gone within 10-14 days. However if you are still exposed to whatever irritated your skin, it may continue. Try Google search for contact dermatitis, and look at the image results for pictures to compare.

Might be a poison ivy rash that hasen't fully developed yet...take a shower asap! a Poison Ivy rash would be known, it would be red by now if you have been itching it.and it only takes aproximatley between 5-30 minutes for it to fully develop. It could simply be dry skin. If you shower in "Hard Water" which is water with lots of minerals in it, MOST people have Hard water its the water you get from...where ever you get your water. there is nothing wrong with it and it wont hurt you. you can just buy a water softener. It also could be eczema. if it is you can always get a moisturizing lotion or just go to your physician and they can prescribe a cream.

The fact this this rash is specifically on your arms and hands suggests that you have been handling some substance that is irritating your skin. If you can't identify the irritant, then you will need to consult a dermatologist.
