Beacause I am not a doctor, my advice is questionable but I can tell you this. I devopled an eating disorder sometime in my tweens and it has plaqued me ever sense. An eating disorder is not something you want to mess around with. It robs you of your friends, family and any sense of normance you might have retained. Symtoms of an eating disorder. Whether your looking for signs in your children or in your self, over a period of about a month, you will be able to tell something is wrong. Weight loss Paleness Dizziness Avoiding socail gatherings Over exceriseing Skipping school etc strange behavior. Next time you go to a grocery store or a resteranut, take a moment to look around. Some of the people you see may have a disorder. Its sort of like "duh"
Bulimia- if you notice someone always going 'for a walk' or to the bathroom/toilet immediately after eating. Also if someone who doesnt eat often but tends to eat alot at one go. Anorexia- when someone is obsessive about their weight, constantly staring at themselves in the mirror and always thinking they are fat even when they are underweight. Someone who always has different excuses to skip meals and in some cases exercises excessively. ,
Anorexia:
cooking for others but not eating the food themselves
always saying they ate before
saying their not hungry (all the time)
saying their stomach is upset and they dont want food (all the time)

Bulimia:
eating a lot and then going away from everyone else
weight loss but increased food intake
headaches/spiked bosy temperature
always going to the bathroom after eating
often off to themselves
