Guess what? I woke up to find that my period had arrived and now I'm up at the lovely time of 5:24. If I were you I would take a painkiller before I went to bed and then wear some tight shorts so that when you toss and turn nothing will move. You may want to have a heating pad handy so that it eases the pain. Don't eat many salts, junk foods, or dairy products. Hope this helps.
During menstruation your temperature is slightly higher so as well as addressing your sleep hygiene to help you sleep particularly look at things like opening your window and avoiding heavy bedding. Having a bath before bed can help in general because going from a hot bath to a cool room can help lower your temperature, and during menstruation it will help you feel more comfortable.
Try menstrual cups or softcups overnight if you don't already, these are internal like tampons but unlike tampons they can be worn overnight and for up to 12 hours so this saves you having to wear pads that may make you uncomfortable at night. If you prefer pads use cloth pads which are a lot more comfortable and don't gather-up like disposables, team up with period underwear too.
Not always, but normally for me the night my period starts or the night before my period starts i can't or have a lot of trouble sleeping. when my period started i had no idea and no signs it kind of crept up on me. hope this helps.
