Please be aware that the following is from research on a medical site only and is not meant to infringe on your treatment with your doctor concerning whether you should or should not have Tetanus vaccinations. Keep in close contact with your doctor for any questions you may feel you need to know or if you have any of the following side effects. You will not get all these side effects or perhaps none at all. Along with its needed effects, a vaccine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Get emergency help immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Symptoms of allergic reaction Difficulty in breathing or swallowing; hives; itching, especially of feet or hands; reddening of skin, especially around ears; swelling of eyes, face, or inside of nose; unusual tiredness or weakness (sudden and severe). Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur: Rare Confusion; convulsions (seizures); fever over 103
The most common side effect is soreness at the injection spot for about 24 hours, which is one reason it is given in the hip. When given in the arm, it can be quite painful compared to getting it in the hip, not when the shot is given, but a few hours later.
Other common side effects include a feeling of tiredness, head pain, vomiting, a small rise in body temperature and mild body chills. Some may experience diarrhea and stomach pain. Children may become fussy and cranky and lose their appetites. Children may also experience a high fever.
All the above side effects should subside within five days. If they last longer, you should see a doctor for medical intervention.
Uncommon side effects include skin rashes, hives, allergic reactions, swelling of the eyes or face and difficulty in swallowing.
Severe side effects are rare, but can include permanent brain damage or coma seizures, breathing difficulties and swelling in the sweat glands in the arm pits.
If uncommon or severe side effects occur, a doctor should be seen right away.
there is no danger if you take it within four months or even a month apart, I am a nurse with the state health dept, and have given immunizations for many years. if you have documentation, a vaccine card, these will act as your booster. if not, then you would need a third one 6 months from the second one, and be good to go for the next 7 to 10 years. If you have trauma, and its been at least 5 yrs from your last one, it wouldn't hurt to have another booster. It is always important to keep your vaccine record up to date, as adults this vaccine, aside from the flu or pneumococcal vaccine, are what we as adults need to keep up with.
Be no the safe side and have a tetanus shot.
the short term side effects are trouble breathing, stiffness throughout body, and a locked jaw. their are no long term side effects for tetanus. UNICORNS ARE REAL 🌈🍭 They poo in your bathtubs 🛀💩
the actual shot is suppose to last around ten years, as long as the subject has been treated along the way of their life . that's from what I've read. i recommend that you consult a doctor though .
Side effects of the tetanus vaccine are minor: soreness, redness, or swelling at the site of the injection that appear any time from a few hours to two days after the vaccination and disappear in a day or two.

you will get the flu
Not necessarily for all injuries. Only a nurse, a pharmacist or a doctor can tell you if you are needing a vaccine.
Also known as the DPT vaccination, The TDaP shot stands for the Tetanus (which causes lockjaw), Diphtheria (which is not very common), and Accelular Pertusis (aka whooping cough). This shot is 3 vaccines in a single vaccination. The shot itself does not hurt very much. But, afterwards your arm may feel tense and sore because, this shot includes the Tetanus: these side effects should subside after 1-3 days. I would definitely recommend getting this shot! Actually, most schools are now requiring students to get it other wise they will be banned from school. This shot is also not just for students it is recommended for people of all ages.
Multiple reasons: pleasure (from the main effects or the side effects) addiction (aviodance of the pain of withdrawal).
