Pinched nerve in shoulder or c-spine
Compression of the median nerve causes tingling and numbness in the thumb, forefinger, middle finger and on the thumb-side of the fourth finger. It may also cause pain in the forearm and occasionally into the shoulder.
Probably some swelling or inflammation putting pressure on a nerve.
This is a symptom of many different things. Could be as simple as a pinched nerve, or as serious as a stroke. Because you mention the pain in the right shoulder, right below or around the shoulder blade, this could be a symptom of a herniated nucleos pulposus, (HNP) Herniated disk in your cervical vertebrae. Depending on where the numbness and tingling radiates to in your fingers, is it into your thumb and index finger or does it include the the pinky finger? Make an appointment with your doc and ask for a Cervical MRI, you may find you have a C6-C7 herniation.
Keeping your finger in cold water will reduce pain.
yes
Pain in carpal tunnel syndrome is most frequently felt on the palm side of the wrist and may radiate up to the elbow or shoulder or down to the fingers. Numbness in the fingers is also common, especially the thumb and forefinger, but not the pinky.
After surgery, depending on placement of the device, your shoulder will be in pain. There might be some numbness from the local anaesthesia. You also shouldn't life your arm past your shoulder but you can still use your hand and partially your arm
maybe arthritis. if your hands and fingers and any other joint in your body it may be arthritis
Hard to tell w/o exam and history. If you have been using your finger or hands more over the last week or two could, be just a strain. If it is more of a numbness or tingling and mainly at night or the first 2 or 3 fingers are also involved then you think more about carpal tunnel syndrome. Something called trigger finger can sometimes start out with vague finger pain etc..It is where you have a knot or nodule on your tendon and it can cause the finger to "trigger" or lock-up when bending and then straightening out your finger. If you have a pinched nerve in the neck you can sometimes get finger numbness or an ache, but you typically will have radiating pain down the arm from the neck and/or shoulder area.
Cervical spondylitis
Radiculopathy, or nerve compression, usually presents with numbness, tingling, and even pain. Patients with radiculopathy of the cervical spine (neck) usually present with neck and shoulder pain, and/or numbness/tingling that can go down the arm.
