∙ 10y agoWhen sodium chloride is mixed with sodium hydroxide, a chemical reaction takes place to form sodium chloride and water. This reaction is a simple double displacement reaction where the cations and anions switch partners to form new compounds.
An investigatory project as the name implies is a project designed to investigate why and how something behaves in a certain way with certain conditions. Investigatory project can be any (chemistry/ biology/ business) investigator project.
K is potassium. Na is sodium. They are both akali metals which react violently with water. I actually did a project on potassium. I sadly actually don't know what inactive and active means.
That is a reference to Paragraph 2.4.1 in the general conditions which is part of the project manual. The project manual may also be called the specifications. You would have to refer to that particular specification to know what it says. It can be different with different projects.
