Carefully
It depends, some people are more sensitive to pain than others. I've just had mine done and I found it did hurt a bit, but not so much that you scream. Your ears may feel hot and go red afterwards but this is normal. If it gets infected you should seek medical advice IMMEDIATELY and DO NOT take your earrings out first unless you have the cartilage pierced then you should take them out first.
I'd wait till your lobes are completely or nearly completely healed. Cartilage piercings take longer to heal and if your body is trying to heal your lobes AND cartilage at the same time, it'll take even longer for your cartilage to heal. So, 2-3 mths.
You may have an infection. I got my lobes pierced, and my left ear got infected, but now my right ar is infected, and not my left. My piercer told me to put "a topical ointment" on it if it gets infected (a topical ointment is something like Neosporin which works well for me). I also take Ibuprofen an hour or so before bed so I sleep easier, and it doesn't hurt as much. Go ahead and call a doctor or piercer. Even if you don't have your cartilage pierced, put Noesporin on it, take Ibuprofen, and calll a doctor.
Mine closed in about an hour, so depending on what you're wanting to take it out for, just watch the time.
No, it doesn't. I had my midway done (the lower cartilage right above the lobe) and it really didn't hurt that bad. It has taken only about 6 weeks and it was easy to take care of.
don't take out the bar/ring, but i find ibuprofen and sucking on ice helps calm infections, or at least any swelling. if it's still infected, i'd go to the place you got the piercing to ask the person who pierced it for you, as they are professionals they should have good advice for you
Nose piercings generally hurt regardless of the thickness of the cartilage, due to the fact the tear ducts are connected to the nose too. But it may take a bit longer, than someone who has thin cartilage, since the piercer has to push through a few more layers.
No. As long as you take care of them and go to a clean and reputable shop, you should be fine. No more of a risk than lobes. Be sure to wash your hair often and change your pillowcase.
If u decide to take the piercing out, it will have a very small hole that u can barely see, then after about 2 or 3 months u won't even be able to see that u got it pierced.
it depends what type of ear piercing you mean. for a lobe piercing it can take just a few seconds because its a gun. do not let them use a gun to pierce cartilage! a cartilage piercing can take a minute or two. i have 6 piercings so i speak from experience when i say most piercings are short and painless
10% this is because of the fact that no matter how much we tell people to take care of there piercing they just don't seem to listen.
