Hi Diabetes is not infectious at all. You CANNOT catch it. There are two types type 1 and type 2. Type 1 you just get, sometimes after a trauma ie illness or accident and your pancreas stops producing insulin and you immediately need insulin injections or via a pump. Type 1 is not the persons fault at all. It can be hereditary in some cases. Type 2, the sufferer can be prone to, it is mostly -about 95% - in overweight people. It tends to be in older people too. Sometimes it can affect normal weight people as well. This is where the pancreas doesn't produce as much insulin and type 2 can be treated with diet alone or diet, exercise and tablets or/and insulin.
YOU CANNOT CATCH DIABETES FROM SOMEONE. It is the hidden disability condition. It is extremely serious and needs to be more broadcast.
No, diabetes is not catching. Diabetes is caused by either your pancreas not producing insulin or by your body not utilizing it's own insulin properly. There are different types of diabetes and therefore the treatment may range from mere weight loss to needing to take insulin injections. All diabetics need to eat a proper diet which should be discussed with a diabetes specialist, get daily exercise (walking is great) and obviously one needs to take their medication be it pills or injections, and monitor their blood sugar closely checking it when they wake up, prior to each meal, two hours after each meal, and before bed.
Diabetes is a lot of work, causing you to monitor your diet, activities, exercise, and self awareness of your bodies needs and condition, but it is a desease that you can live with and once you learn more about it and how your body will respond to different foods and situations it will become easier to control.
Type 1 Diabetes is usually an autoimmune disease, where the immune system destroys the insulin producing cells in the pancreas. Type 2 Diabetes is more complicated in cause(s) as insulin is usually produced normally but is not properly used.
Diabetes type 2
Diabetes is not infectious.

you know what my dad has type 2 diabetes and the type one is way way way worse. type one can kill you but when i was three my dad had type 2 diabetes and it is OK and did you know if your mom or dad had diabetes you are at risk of getting type 2 so say your dad or mom has type one diabetes you are at risk of getting it but if your mom or dad had type 2 diabetes you are at risk of getting type 2 - hope this helped alot
Insulin is the hormone that is imbalanced in type 2 diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance results in the production of increased, but ineffective, insulin.
No but you can get Type 2 Diabetes.
There is NO type of 'good' diabetes, but the one your looking for is probably type 1 diabetes. People are usually born with that type. Type 2 diabetes is the one people get if they're overweight, don't exercise, and they eat junk all the time.
absolutely. There are 2 kinds of diabetes. Type 1 and Type 2.
