You will eventually become fat and bloated, and starved if your constant sitting prevents you from getting too much exercise and from retrieving any food. However, if you're talking in terms of less than a day, then no. Sit all you want. Although your legs do get kind of tingly after a while, and you'll get cramps if you sit in a weird way.
