Part of the risk of having your wisdom teeth removed is their proximity to part of your sinus cavities, which run much farther around your head than you may realize. If these are putting pressure on your sinuses, it could probably cause sinus-related pressure and pain. I just had 3 of 4 wisdom teeth out this morning, and I can't be sure yet, but there seems to be less pressure in my head/sinuses. As I said, I cannot be medically sure, but it makes sense.
