Well it depends on what it's doing. If it is red, swelled, warm to the touch, painful and discharging greenish puss then chances are good it's and infection. However if it's red, swelled, warm to the touch, painful and discharging clear fluid and is very itchy then it's a good chance that it's and allergic reaction. it is infected
i have my upper cartilage pierced and mine is not infected or any thing its totally safe
Have your piercer look at it and they will suggest a course of action for you.
No I don't think that's possible, unless you think it is infected, you may need to talk or go see a doctor. :/ I pierced my cartilage and I'm not quite sure if it's infected or not.. So I'm not sure what to do myself, but I do know that it's not logical to die from it.
A septal hematoma is a mass of blood from torn tissue that may collect within the cartilage that divides the two nostrils. It may become infected and form an abscess that eventually destroys the cartilage.
Actually, no. Oral piercings are among the piercings that rarely get infected; that is, if they are taken care of properly. The piercings that are the most prone to infection are the navel and ear cartilage piercings.
When you get the piercing done it might, and also if you manage to get it infected or rip it off your ear. But otherwise you should be fine.
Its not very likely. You'll probably see redness and dark discharge first but swelling isn't that far behind. If you think its infected, either go see a doctor or have your piercer check it out.
Put rubbing alcohol on it. put it in the cap and move your hair back and pour it on to the infected peircing. and dont freak out when you see bubbly white stuff coming out! thats the bacteria coming out of your peircing.
If you are under 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign some papers and be present when you get the piercings. You must be at least 13 to get your cartilage pierced regardless of a parent's consent. -DO NOT GET IT FROM CLAIRE'S ... claire's pierce with a gun , &if that shatters your cartilage, your gonna go through ALOOOOOT of pain &it causes alot. &your supposed to pierce it with a needle, it wont get infected as easy.
