If a person has anorexia, it doesn't necessary mean that the person needs to be horribly skinny. the person could be overweight also but has eating disorders and bulimia is were you eat up to and sometimes over 10,000 calories at once and then throw up purposely. Sometimes, bulimic people take pills to throw up. This is life-threatening, so do not attempt it to lose weight.

It isn't necessarily a disease. You can also call it a psychological disorder, since you eat less because you think people find you ugly and fat. You get sick of eating to scarce. (Officially, anorexia is both a disease and a psychological disorder)

Anorexia is a psychological condition - not a disease caused by a pathogen !
Anorexia is not caused by a pathogen. It is a complex mental health disorder characterized by an intense fear of gaining weight and a distorted body image. Psychological, genetic, environmental, and cultural factors can all contribute to the development of anorexia.
An eating disorder such a anorexia or bulimia is a disorder in which a person starves themselves either by not eating or binge eating and then vomiting. Both have a psychological element so the only real way to prevent them is to see a professional immediately if you think you may have one. Other types of food disorders are things like celiac disease or lactose intolerance where eating certain foods makes you ill because your body cannot process them. You cannot prevent these.
