The most simplest answer is Yes
Little research has been performed to see if acne is a genetic condition, but from clinical studies/experience it is believed that it is genetic.
A study using genetic modelling found that 81% of patients tested were attributable to "additive genetic effects". Meaning that Genetics could be the cause of acne for these patients.
I personally feel it is genetic, as I suffer from acne and have been on the acne treatment Oratane twice, with successful results. I have an older sibling who suffered from acne, and a younger brother who is on Oratane now because of his acne. My father also suffered from acne. Surely this suggests it has been passed down through genetics?
The scientific name for acne is acne vulgaris.
Some of my VERY important facts about acne 85% of teenagers experience acne Having acne does not mean your dirty your diet does not effect your acne acne can be genetic Hmmm, acne is a common skin problem among teenagers and even adults, but it can be treated. Id advise you all to try Retin-A gel, which is a prescription medication it has helped my acne and its not expensive. DO NOT Scrub your acne, that's a major mistake. Scrubbing your skin will only irritate it further. You just need to use a mild cleanser at night and in the mornings then apply SPF moisturiser. drinking water does improve skin, acne is caused mostly because of hormone levels which can be controlled either by antibiotics or the pill, see your GP for advice on treatment for your skin. Don't use a lot of products this will only cause redness and inflammation. Good luck xx
Although acne is more predominant in adolescence and during pregnancy (hormonal acne), adult acne is also very common. Statistics for acne in adults shows that over 60% of adults over the age of twenty suffer from acne flare-ups at least once. This phenomenon is referred to as adult acne
I am not really sure if this effective for acne and acne scars.
Causes of unexplained acne could be hormones, diet, vitamin deficiency, stress, and more. ---- Major cause of unexplained acne is stress and your living conditions. Poor sleep also is a cause of unexplained acne. Using harmful cosmetics is also one.
Yes
I do not think you can get Acne from Stress, but you can get stress from Acne causing a severe Depression.
Back acne is extremely common among young teenagers and young adult males. Back acne is difficult to get rid of if the individual is an athlete or someone who is very active. This is because back acne is caused by sweat collecting in the pores of the skin. Back acne can be treated through the use of medications and skin cleansing shower lotions. Back acne is something many people experience and is a common form of acne. The first step in treating back acne is to identify any causes of the acne. For example, if the individual is an athlete it is important that they shower right after exercising because the cause of the back acne is usually related to exercise and sweat building up in the pores of the skin. If the individual is an athlete the best treatment for back acne would be to simply take a quick shower right after working out. The individual should use cleansing shower lotions to treat the back acne. This is going to be a better alternative than using severe and drying medications. If the individual suffering from back acne is not an athlete then the cause of the acne is probably genetic or stress-related. A good way to remove back acne is to get on a medication prescribed by a dermatologist such as Accutane. Accutane is an extremely potent and powerful drug that is used commonly to treat severe types of acne. Accutane is incredibly effective against back acne simply because it dries the skin out, removing the acne. If the individual suffering from back acne is an athlete, Accutane should not be used to because it can cause dehydration and fatigue. If the individual suffering from back acne is not an athlete though, Accutane is perfectly fine to use, as it will be the fastest way to treat back acne. Back acne can be a frustrating form of acne to fight, especially if you’re an athlete who needs to stay away from medications. However, if you are not an athlete, it is recommended that you use a strong medication like Accutane to immediately clear up the back acne you may be suffering from.
