if your nose piercing is infected don't touch it with your bare hands. wet your nose ring, take a q-tip with water and soap on it to clean the inside and outside of your nose and then run water out of the faucet on it. clean it like this twice a day and it its not going away talk to your piercer about it.

Well simply put it's called soap and water. Using liquid unscented antibacterial soap (use a pea sized amount in your hand) add water to it and lather it up apply it to the piercing and work it into the piercing by moving the jewellery back and forth or rotating the ring if the piercing has a ring in it. Then under warm running water (the shower is the best place to do this) again rotate the jewellery while rinsing the piercing with the water. Do this daily (twice a day for the first two days) for about a week. Within the first 24 ~ 48 hours you will see the infection start to clear. After a week you can just rinse the piercing daily (you don't need to use soap every day once every five days should be plenty) under warm running water while moving the jewellery and the piercing should remain healthy and happy.

Are you sure? Chances are good it's not infected, but the internet is not the place to find out. Get your self into your local professional body piercer, only the trained and experienced eye of a professional body piercer will be able to tell you if your piercing is infected or reacting to something.

Can you wear makeup with a new nose piercing?

Where? on your nose? yeah but don't go close to the piercing I have, nothing really happens,it's just weird. everywhere else is fine I had make up on my nose when I pierced it. yes, as long as you are careful not to get it inside the piercing. ________________ I did nothing happened. ------------------------- You're not meant to, it could make the piercing infected. But that doesnt always happen. I'd just be careful ______________________ I wouldn't recommend it, or at least, not on the side of you nose with the piercing. Everywhere else is fine. But, keep your foundation, compact, and blush away from the area. The chances of your new piercing getting infected increases if any of your makeup products get near or into it. Better play it safe.

Is it easy for your nose to get infected when you pierce it yourself?

Extremely easy. If you are not a piercing professional and do not have the proper equipment and sterility, you are bound to get infected. Sterile tools and anti-disinfectant solutions are the most important thing.
