There are actually 2 ventricles in the heart. The right and left ventricles. The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs to get oxygen and the left ventricle pumps already oxygenated blood throughout the body. -Anonymous

There are 4 chambers in the heart, 2 ventricles and 2 atria. Each chamber is classed as 'left' or 'right', eg. Left Ventricle.

Roughly, there are 6 of them.

Two ventricles in the heart (the left one and the right one) and four more inside the brain (2x lateral (left & right) , third and fourth one)
