1. very large 2. ate meat, possibly other tyrannosaurus rexes too. 3. tiny arms 4. lived in the cretaceous period. 5. weighed 8 tons 6.dead a lot of years ago
Tyrannosaurus was nowhere near the size of a whale. The largest species of Tyrannosaurus, T.rex, was 45 feet long and weighed up to five tons. Blue whales, on the other side of the scale, pitch in at one hundred feet long and a whopping two hundred tons! That means that a whale weighed as much as forty T. rexes or, on a grander perspective, two Argentinosaurus or Amphocoelias, the two largest known dinosaurs.
T-Rexes.
T-Rexes.
Tyrannosaurus rex didn't choose to hunt Triceratops over other animals. The most common herbivores at that time and place were Triceratops and Edmontosaurus. Tyrannosaurus definitely hunted Edmontosaurus regularly, probably more often than Triceratops.
Tyrannosaurus rex had a life span just under thirty years. They had a major growth rate increase during their teenage years. At about age twenty, a T-rex would have been mature.
