None. Zero. You need no added salt, if you're eating fairly normally. An old traditional method of human suicide involved consuming a pound or so of salt. Salt was gathered from salt flats since ancient times. More recently it was obtained from salt mines. A commercial by-product of desalination plants (factories) that convert seawater to freshwater is salt. Similarly, health food stores sell sea salt, which is the salt remaining after evaporating sea water. Salt was unknown by many North American indigenous tribes until the arrival of Europeans. Their natural diet provided them with sufficient salt, without any need for adding more, as does the diet of people of most other cultures in most regions of the world. Salt is needed in the diet, but a well-balanced diet already contains enough. Adding salt can cause health problems such as high blood pressure. In history, Roman soldiers sent to far-away lands were given a salary. The word salary comes from the Latin word sal, which means salt. They were given salt because it was essential for their health, especially in arid climates, when travelling through uninhabited regions (e.g. deserts), or when they couldn't access a local balanced diet (e.g. poisoned food from enemies). The historical importance of salt is shown in sayings such as not to be worth one's salt, superstitions such as throwing salt over one's shoulder, and so on. Potassium chloridetastes like salt, and is among the modern commonly used salt substitutes for table salt (sodium chloride) for those on a low sodium diet, but salt substitutes have their own sets of negative medical side effects.

NEVER EVER take salt tablets!!! If you have low sodium levels your doctor will prescribe medication or a special diet for you in conjuction with monitoring your blood sodium levels. Not always true. To prepare for brain surgery my husband needed to raise his sodium level, salt tablets were prescribed by his surgeon.

How many grams of sodium fluoride are needed to make 600000 tablets of sodium fluoride tablets each containing 110 μg?

To find the total amount of sodium fluoride needed, first convert 110 μg to grams (110 μg = 0.00011 g). Then multiply the amount per tablet by the number of tablets: 0.00011 g x 600000 = 66 grams of sodium fluoride are needed to make 600000 tablets.

How many electron levels does sodium 23 have?

Sodium-23 has three electron levels: the first energy level can hold up to 2 electrons, the second energy level can hold up to 8 electrons, and the third energy level can hold up to 8 electrons. Sodium has an atomic number of 11, so sodium-23 has 11 protons and 11 electrons in a neutral state.
