Everyone's different, but most people don't notice anything until they have missed a period. Then you'd be about a month pregnant. It all depends on the woman, her cycle and her body.

i know you can have your period or miss your period when pregnant

It is so true. I had what I thought was two periods, one that looked regular and the next month one that was light. And then no period. All my pregnancy symptoms were always there although i had both a blood test and a urine test. I would be on my 3rd month right now and i am going to see my doctor to run test. If you think that you might be pregnant act like you are and give it time for the HCG to build up in your blood stream. Also, after consulting many books a woman can have slow progesterone build-up and it may take at least 2 to 3 months for the vaginal bleeding to stop.

ITS SO HARD TO KNOW THE ONLY WAY TO FIND OUT IS A PREGNANCY TEST BUT SOMETIMES IT SHOWS A NEGATIVE

4 days before expected period= 51% accurate

3 days before expected period= 82% accurate

2 days before expected period= 90% accurate

1 day before expected period =95% accurate

the day of expected period =99% accurate

  1. Conception usually occurs about 5-7 days after intercourse
  2. Your most fertile period is about 5 days before ovulation
  3. For most(but not all) women ovulation occurs about 14 days prior to her period.

To ensure the best results:

  • Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest
  • Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results
  • Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low.
  • urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip
  • Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.

Normally after your missed period. You can't just go by a "Missed Period" Some women have periods while they're pregnant. Take a blood test.

Your symptoms of pregnancy will usually appear anywhere from the first week of your expected period to 1-2 weeks after your first week of expected period. Your first signs of pregnancy most commonly include missed period, tender/swollen breasts, change in color of the breasts, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, increased sense of smell, and weight gain.

The first definitive sign is a missed period, two weeks after conception.

All the other signs that people ask about on here are presumptive.

Missed periods can occur for other reasons but the commonest reason for a missed period in a woman of child-bearing age having regular sexual intercourse is pregnancy.

2 to 6 weeks after conception.

It normally takes about 2-4 weeks to know if your pregnant or not.

Most pregnancy tests are only accurate approximately 10 days after conception, but you can schedule an appointment with your doctor or local clinic to have a blood test done to confirm. It's a quick procedure - you should be in and out within an hour or so.
In most instances the hCG levels are high enough for a urine test to detect as early as four weeks from conception.

There are several over-the-counter pregnancy tests at your local drug store/wal-mart etc... that are quite apt in noting the HgC levels in your urine, as early as 5 or 7 days before you are due to start your next period. Most of these offer two test applicators for a second try in a day or so, if you receive a negative one first and it was just too early for these tests to determine. An ob/gyn can always perform a blood test that may for some women be more accurate sooner.

The simple urine test will be positive after 8 days of missed period in most of the patients. There are pregnancy tests, which can tell you about pregnancy before the expected date of period. But they are expensive. You have no advantage by knowing the fact, that early.
