If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor as soon as you can.

There are instances of vaginal bleeding for long periods of time during pregnancy. However, it would depend upon how much bleeding; just spotting would be fine, but it is doubtful if bleeding occurs every day in large amounts.
You shouldn't be bleeding if you're pregnant, so I would make an appointment with your midwife to be o the safe side. Try not to worry though.

The fetus is passed during the bleeding of a miscarriage. If it's in the first trimester, the fetus is smaller than a prune, so would look like a large clot.
As long as the bleeding is settling there is no specific physical care needed after a miscarriage though you may feel emotionally fragile for quite a while as you have suffered a bereavement after all. Take care of yourself.
If you had an early miscarriage and the pain and bleeding have now stopped and you feel ok physically there should be no problems. If you are still having pain in your belly/having an offensive discahrge/feel unwell then you may not have had a complete miscarriage and need to see a doctor.
You are protected while on Depo Provera regardless of bleeding. As long as you get the shots on time, there's no decrease in protection just because you're having vaginal bleeding.
