You would have conceived April 7th. The sperm lives for 72 hours so anywhere in that hour range before or after April 7th if you ovulated on time which is half way between your menstrual cycle. The doctor determines the due date from the first day of your last period and adds 40 weeks. The normal human gestation period is between 38 and 42 weeks, so they split the difference and call it 40 weeks (9 months is a bit of a myth). At best it's an educated guess and will almost certainly be changed when more information about the fetus is discovered through ultrasounds, etc. Don't worry about the accuracy of the due date too much, especially early in pregnancy, the baby comes when it's ready, whether the due date is accurate or not. BTW congrats.
