Well you can have poor posture which means that your shoulders would appear more shrugged towards your ear.

If your Asthma is very severe then you wont be able to do much physical activities and yes that includes sex (which really sucks). Which may lead to poor body composition and dependent on the patience and type of person your partner really is, unfortunatley can lead to a bad and dead end relationship.

Best of luck to all!

It is not the asthma itself that affects physical development but the drugs that the child takes. If a child regularily takes uses a preventer inhaler containing a steriod eg becotide, serotide, beclaforte, flixotide then the steriods in these drugs cause th child not to grow as tall as his peers. Also if they get serious asthma/croup they are given redipred which is a very strong form of steriods and getting several doses of this over winter can affect the child's growth. A friend has two children aged 6 1/2 and 9 and the parents are both tall. The younger one (a girl) is nearly as tall as her brother who gets bad asthma. She doesn't get asthma at all. My son also gets asthma and my doctor is monitoring his height and weight to make sure he is growing normally. There is not sufficient evidence to show a higher risk of getting a learning disability from the asthma, but the otal steriods used in medical management of the disease are known to cause poor psychological adjustment, and being away from school frequently is common with asthmatic children.

ANS2:Because asthmatics find it harder to breathe so when running they find it difficult to breathe which makes them not want to run.
