By putting (or creating) pictures, or images to your thoughts. As an example, try thinking about a Pink Elephant walking along carrying a blue suitcase with its trunk. When doing this, use the descriptions (the elephant is pink, and the suitcase is blue) to make a visual image in your thoughts. If you could draw Cartoons, you can even make them 'artsy' or comical... but, you can also just make them as real as life itself (as though you were watching a video of your thoughts).
