It really depends on the location and severity of the injury. If you simply pulled or sprained it, all you can do is rest the muscle, use the ICE procedure (Ice application, Compression, Elevation), and wait. If you tore the muscle or it has been ripped from either the origin or the insertion point, you may need medical attention to have it reattached.
me thinks its sartorius
Strap-like muscle that is a weak thigh flexor known as the tailor's muscle is called Sartorius. This is the muscle that connects to the hamstring.
The "tailors muscle", or the sartorius is the strap-like muscle that is a weak hip flexor. The sartorius muscle is the longest muscle in the human body.
The sartorius muscle forms the lateral boundary of the femoral triangle.
The sartorius muscle is found in the thigh. It is the longest muscle in the human body and runs from the hip to the knee.

yes sartorius is very long as compared to maximus, maximus is in gluteal region(buttock) while sartorius extends from waist line to inferior of knee, where it gets inserted.
