A very high percentage of people that are infected with the HIV virus develope aids. There are a few exceptions. There are some people that develope aids that do not have the HIv virus and vice versa.
The test for HIV is not the same as testing for AIDS. The percentages are so high though that they use the HIV test as an indicator.
