Balanced diet and proper sleep patterns reduces seizures. Food that is rich in 1) carbohydrates such as potato and pasta, 2) fats such as oil, nuts and seeds, 3) proteins such as milk, cheese, meat, fish, lentils and eggs and 4) vegetables and fruits, protects and reduces damages caused by seizures. However, fats like trans fat and hydrogenated fats like cakes, deep fried foods, etc., high sugar drinks and food, chips, non-wholegrain cereal, white bread, etc. trigger a seizure.
