This is the process by which food is digested:
first the food passes through your esophagus then to your small intestines and then your large intestines
An oyster has a one-way digestive system. Food enters through the mouth and travels through the digestive tract before being expelled through the anus.
The digestive tract that carries food includes the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine. Other organs, such as the pancreas, are part of the digestive system, but don't carry the food.
Both food and air travel through the digestive system. Food travels through the digestive system starting from the mouth, passing through the esophagus and stomach, and finally to the small and large intestines for absorption. Air travels through the respiratory system starting from the nose or mouth, passing through the trachea and bronchial tubes, and finally reaching the lungs for oxygen exchange.
The digestive system has smooth muscle through out it, and they help move the food.
Muscle motion in your digestive system called Peristalsis helps the food to travel through your digestive system.
Digestive
Blood doesn't carry food, food travels through the digestive system (Look it up) Blood carries oxygen and iron.
MUSCULAR
The digestive system prepares food for the bloodstream. The digestive system absorbs food particles and nutrients pass through this system to the bloodstream.
That is the organ system: digestive system.
Food can travel up to 30 feet in the average adult's digestive tract, from the mouth to the anus. This includes passing through the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine.
