Soy products have estrogen and increasing your levels of estrogen levels have been linked to some cancers ie. breast cancer.

Most of the soy used now is not even soy. Practically all of it is a genetically engineered variant of soy, whose long term effects cannot be known. While the European Union has outlawed such Frankenstein foods throughout Europe, Americans are eating these things without any warning labels.
