It would be very unusual for this drug to be used for Chlamydia. It is not one of the reccommended treatments for Chlamydia and the FDA says it is "Lacking substantial evidence of effectiveness as a fixed combination".

Doxycycline (brand names Vibramycin, Vibrox, Doryx, Doxin) cures chlamydia. Due to a shortage in the US in 2013, azithromycin is more often used at this time due to lower cost.

The normal dose of doxycycline is 100 mg twice a day for 7 days to cure chlamydia, unless the infection is severe. It's important for both partners to abstain from oral, anal, and vaginal sex until treatment is completed plus 7 days to avoid bouncing it back.
