i have had multiple scars from various activities and animal attacks now over the time the scar may become hardly recognisable but if you pick at a scab the scar will stay there for a long time. if after having stitches you scar may have lumps and this is completely normal except that they wont go away. over time you scar may become a dark or lighter colour then your skin then your actual skin colour. so it really depends on the cause of the scarr............. hope this helps :)
your skin is the top layer of your body
Its the 3rd layer of the skin: Epidermis - on the top, renews constantly Dermis - middle layer, doesnt really renew, this is what is damaged when you get scars, and what tattoo ink is injected into Hypodermis (not hyperdermis) - is the subcutenous layer of fat under both of these. There is no hyperdermis in the integumentary system.
yes try appling Lavender oil each day, but make sure there is no infection within the skin as Lavender oil will only heal the top layer of the skin and not kill the infection.
