Chiropractors get extensive training in the treatment of many musculoskeletal conditions during their 4 year doctorate program (after their 4 year undergraduate degree), rotator cuff injuries included. Some chiropractors even do additional sport science residencies through the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (CCSS) following their chiropractic doctorate, which is an additional 2 years of specialized training for sport-related injuries. Treating a rotator cuff injury involves proper assessment followed by a few weeks of ice, heat, rehabilitation exercises, deep tissue therapy, and often will also include spinal manipulation, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and/or cold laser treatment. Then specific strengthening exercises must be done to prevent future injury.
Note: Chiropractic spinal manipulation alone cannot fix your rotator cuff, but in combination with modalities to reduce inflammation and strengthening exercises to rehabilitate shoulder biomechanics, spinal manipulation has been shown to speed-up the recovery from shoulder conditions (references 1,2,3 below).

The rotator cuff injury by itself should not , however, many of the injuries that can affect the rotator cuff can also impact the nerves.
Possible rotator cuff? as in your shoulder.
rotator cuff surgery

Rotator cuff is composed of four muscles. These muscles keep the head of the humerus in proximity to the scapula bone. Any force, that tries to pull away the head of the humerus will cause injury to the rotator cuff muscles. Any body can get such injury.
Rotator cuff surgery is necessary when chronic shoulder pain associated with rotator cuff injury does not respond to conservative therapy such as rest, heat/ice application, or the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Naproxen is an antiinflammatory drug, and may reduce inflammation in the rotator cuff. In itself, it cannot heal a torn ligament.
It can relieve pain, but it cannot heal tissue.
