All of your cells come from stem cells, so yes, you can grow more tissue from an organ from them. In fact this is what happens when your body tries to repair damage.
Vegetative Cells...
your cells use the energy from respiration to keep you warm, stay alive grow and repair themselves
When cells divide they help you grow. Also, they replace, grow, repair your dead cells.

curing is probably the wrong word, but they are used mainly to repair damage dont to an organism during a disease and are used to repair damaged cells as they are undefined or unspecialised cells and can grow into whatever cells are needed. They as far as i know can also be used to grow new blood vessels and scientists are currently undergoing experiments to see if a large enough number of them could actually grow new body parts such as eyes legs ears arms etc.
to provide energy
Protein
We get energy from the food we eat. Our bodies break down the nutrients in food into a form of energy called ATP (adenosine triphosphate) that our cells can use for various functions such as movement, growth, and repair.
