On February 4, 1983, less than a month before her thirty-third birthday, Carpenter suffered heart failure at her parents' home in Downey, California. She was taken to Downey Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead twenty minutes later. The LA coroner gave the cause of death as "heartbeat irregularities brought on by chemical imbalances associated with anorexia nervosa." Her divorce was scheduled to have been finalized that day. The autopsy stated that Carpenter's death was the result of emetine cardiotoxicity due to anorexia nervosa. Under the anatomical summary, the first item was heart failure, with anorexia as second. The third finding was cachexia, which is extremely low weight and weakness and general body decline associated with chronic disease. Emetine cardio toxicity implies that Carpenter abused ipecac syrup, an easily obtained emetic medicine that is only meant to be taken by persons who have accidentally swallowed poison.
So you can no what it is and no not do it
More people should know about anorexia because, the more people are aware and informed, the less cases will develop.
i don't know what TYPE it is, but any kind of music you like! i like "Sing" from the carpenters, because it's very cheerful with Karen and Richard carpenter and little girls singing together.
Karen is already an hour late in picking me up, so I've decided to take the bus to the mall. anyone know?
Karen Anne Carpenter, (1950 - 1983), drummer singer, divorced Thomas Burris, real estate seller, because their marriage was a disaster. 1) Karen's solo album was not released by A & M in 1980, and she met Tom Burris (divorced, one son) afterwards (on a blind date), who claimed he did not know she was a famous, rich musician (not very likely in 1980!). They had a fast courtship and were engaged to be married soon afterwards. Prior to their marriage, Karen found out that Burris had a vasectomy, and could not father children. Karen wanted to call off the marriage, but, was forced to go through with it by her mother Agnes. (This is according to the book: Little Girl Blue by Randy Schmidt). Burris who acted as though he were financially well off, proved to have very little money, and Karen had to pay a lot of his debts. When she said she was not going to pay for any more of his bills in October 1981, he left her, and although they spoke over the phone, a few times after that, that was the beginning of the end and Karen started filing for divorce. Karen died a married woman on Feb. 4, 1983 (cardiac arrest from anorexia nervosa), but, she was in the process of divorcing Burris when she died. After Karen died, most of her money and goods, went to her parents and her brother. Burris got almost nothing and much of the items he had were repossessed. He had to live with his 18 year old son from his previous marriage that also ended in divorce.
you should look for a doctor.
