* No, the Narcissist can't hide what he/she is by most psychologists or psychiatrists. You may get total custody in your favor just by what the psychologist has diagnosed you're ex with, but beware .. in turn he can be evaluated by a psychologist (orders by his lawyer that his client .. your ex have an evaluation) and you could come up with a stalemate! http://personalitydisorders.suite101.com/article.cfm/narcissistpsychopath
Unless you are a licensed, certified, degree holding psychologist or psychiatrist, you cannot say. To make such a diagnoses without the proper credentials could be construed as a criminal act. Seems a bit ironic, I know.
I'm a psychologist in Texas. If the court is asking the psycholgist to render a diagnosis, there is no reason that any diagnostic category would be excluded from examination. So, yes, a psychologist can provide the court with an appropriate diagnosis and this might be the diagnosis.
One could find a reputable educational psychologist online on websites such as Educational Psychologist, T and F Online and on many other websites as well. Doing research will help you find a good psychologist.
A Masochist is someone that loves pain, in short, and very generalized. Loving a narcissist is about pain, therefore only a masochist could love a narcissist. Having said that, I think someone was being very sarcastic when writing it as anyone can fall in love with a narcissist, they are very charming and morph themselves to you, for awhile. I think they were trying to make the point that only a masochist could enjoying loving a narcissist, due to the pain part. On that I concur.
Write your report yourself.
Why would ANYONE want to be with a narcissist? A codependent would be about the only type of personality that could tolerate being with a narcissist, and they will pay a terrible price. Dump the narcissist and get some help with the codependency. ACOA, CODA, Al-anon and Nar-anon are as close as your telephone.
In order to become a psychologist you must have psychology degree. It usually takes at least six years.
You could become a psychologist or a psychiatrist.
No, they could care less what they do to you. They don't have empathy! They could care less what they do to you or how they hurt you.
Maybe the person that is a narcissist was trying to hide it.
Are you referring to the "cycle" experienced by the Narcissist when he or she is devoid of narcissistic supply? Or are you referring to the way a child could develop into a narcissist? I have never heard of a "mutation phase" - do you have a reference, perhaps?
