Yes, it is certainly possible. My brother used to have terrible allergies as a child. Now that he is an adult, he rarely gets allergies to anything.

It's common to inherit allergies, but they don't all kick in at birth. Some show up later. You can also outgrow them. An allergist won't want to treat you on the basis of an allergy test that's more than two years old because things could have changed. Also an allergy can be active in one environment and not in another.
