Chesebourgh Ponds still holds the Trademark for Vaseline Hair Tonic, unfortunately, it's been discontinued in the United States. It's my understanding that it's still available in Australia and some other parts of the World. You can still buy Imported bottles on eBay and from www.solrus.com/hair.HTML. Suave was the last US company to manufacture the product under license to Chesebourgh Ponds. If you buy on Ebay make sure it carries a trademark license and it's not a cheap Chinese import that is not regulated.

So they pulled it of the shelves. It is still in demand in Asia and Australia. I have been using it for last 35 years, my number one hair and scalp conditioner!
Many people use Vaseline before shampooing. The Vaseline treatment is used as a remedy for dry scalp. A person can massage it into his scalp before shampooing the hair.
