An Ulcer is a break in skin or mucous membrane where the surrouding tissue dies. It can be benign or it can be very serious. If there are around or in the oral cavity, you should see your physician. It could be anything from a canker sore to an STD.

Yes, but only if you chew constantly all the time. Also if you just got back from the dentist. Obviously don't chew gum if your teeth hurt see what see the matter right away
