Hi,
I have been researching this very subject for days now as I have type 2 Diabetes and now over the past 6-8 months have developed a fairly horrible loss of bowel control.
Diabetic Neuropathy can definitely affect the feet, legs, hands and arms but there is also another type of neuropathy that also affects the groin, abdomen, stomach, bowel area and can disrupt normal bowel function.
So my answer is yes. i believe so, after researching it online.
cheers,
J
usually focused on treating the symptoms associated with the neuropathy and addressing the underlying cause by improving the control of blood sugar levels, which may heal the early stages of neuropathy
It can, although peripheral neuropathy usually occurs first in the feet.
Diabetic neuropathy is a sever disorder that will happen to those with diabetes who do not maintain their health. It is not something that any one should want to start. It can cause some serious health issues even death.
Loss of bladder and bowel control may result, but the majority of patients will regain control
