Yes. Mainly just make sure you have great hygiene, drink a lot of fluids, and don't wear wet clothes or stringed underwear for a long period of time.

I have had numerous bladder infections and they are a pain. I could really live without them. I finally saw a urologist and went through all of these insane tests, just to find out everything was okay. Hope this finds everyone well.

UTIs, urinary tract infections, are bacterial infections in the urethra and bladder which make it painful to urinate. The most common causes of UTIs are not drinking enough fluid, wiping back to front and having sex. To prevent UTIs always wipe from the front to the back, urinate immediately after sex and drink plenty of fluids.

Some good ideas to avoid getting a bladder infection are, drinking tons of water. What causes a bladder infection is bacteria entering the ureata. If you are drinking lots of water the chances of the bacteria staying are reduced. It is also recommended to drink cranberry juice. CRANBERRY JUICE DOES NOT CURE A BLADDER INFECTION. If you think you have a bladder infection, go to the doctor ASAP, or it can turn into a kidney infection which is very painful, and if let untreated can lead to dealth. But cranberry juice is good to avoid getting bladder infections because it makes it so the bacteria cannot hang on. Another precaution is to always wipe from front to back. That way no bacteria is getting introduced. Another helpful piece of advice is to urinate after having sex. It works better if you have a full bladder, but if not, that is fine too. This is helpful because it is a way to flush out any bacteria that could have been introduced during intercourse. Most importantly, if you are having any symptoms of what you think is a bladder infection, go see a doctor.
