Yes! One of my best friends has only half a heart. The left half! She has only her left atrium and ventricle, and had to be delivered months early so her "tubing" could be rearranged. It's not easy, and extremely risky, but people can survive. She is 19 right now and will be getting surgery this summer to get some new parts to replace the old ones that she got when she was born.
She has a really cool scar that goes all the way down the middle of her chest :D
